Kate Gosselin Addresses Critics Amid Rumors She's a 'Horrible' Person

For years, this celeb mom has been criticized for her parenting choices and attitude many feel is anything but pleasant. And now, she's speaking out. Kate Gosselin is addressing rumors about herself that's quite unexpected but very refreshing given her willingness to be vulnerable.
Kate recently took to Instagram to share a promo for her upcoming dating show.
Yes, Kate Gosselin is getting her own dating show on TLC. The first trailer for Kate Plus Date dropped last month that shows the single mom getting back into the swing of things in the romance department. The new reality show is set to air Monday, June 10, at 10 p.m. ET.
For the most part, fans of Kate are thrilled with her latest venture and are applauding her for putting herself back out there.

A number of divorced and single moms also celebrated Kate for putting her children first all of these years. Though there have been reports Kate dated millionaire Jeff Prescott, she vehemently denies the romance rumors in her Instagram post, stating "tabloids don't report the truth ... I didn't date him."
Others question the authenticity of Kate Plus Date, to which the mom of eight had no problem responding.
Kate made time in her schedule to respond to tons of commenters -- including those who feel her reality show is fake. As she states, the guys she goes out on dates with are in fact single and that she is in fact looking for love.
But the biggest "Oh we're going here today?" moment was Kate addressing criticism she's a "horrible" person in the most unexpected way.
Kate Gosselin has caught a ton of heat over the years for various reasons. Whether she's accused of "brainwashing" her kids against Jon, not seeing son Collin (she reportedly missed Collin's custody hearing just before a judge awarded Jon sole custody), or being blamed for Jon missing the twins' graduation, there are a million and one issues people seem to find with Kate.
Kate admits she's "matured a lot" over the years and is no longer the person she used to be.
"I didn't always conduct myself in a way that I was proud of in the past," Kate admits in her response to criticism. "[B]ut having said that, I'm pretty sure no one would be proud of every single moment shown if their lives were being filmed."
Respect.
Kate's admission comes at an interesting time as her ex-publicist accused her of being an "awful human" recently. Who knows what's true?
Everyone deserves happiness, and we hope Kate gets her happily ever after.
As far as her confession, people grow and mature (well, hopefully) -- so how can we knock what she said? We can only hope all of us make changes for the better that only make us stronger as individuals and parents.
