Fans were shocked and heartbroken when news broke that Abby Lee Miller was diagnosed with cancer last year, but now, she's taking major steps in her recovery -- literally. On a new episode of The Doctors, Abby walked for the first time since last year, and it was all captured for the cameras. Knowing Abby, we're not surprised that she wanted to share that moment with her fans and the rest of the world.

On Tuesday's episode of 'The Doctors,' Abby stood and took a few emotional steps with her walker.

Although Abby Lee Miller admitted on the show that it was a "scary" moment for her (she was in tears as she took those steps), ultimately, it seems like she was ready.

Dr. Lawrence Piro, Abby's oncologist, said rehab was absolutely crucial, and that included putting what they worked on together into action and standing on her own. As it turns out, Abby was totally up for the challenge.

Watching this moment happen is so inspiring. Is there anything this lady can't do?

Abby's been documenting her journey on Instagram, sharing what this moment meant to her after not walking since her emergency spinal surgery.

Abby admits that watching this back made her cry, and honestly, we can't blame her for that. This is a really big deal! "I'm not nearly as strong as I was during this taping," she wrote. "I have a long way to go -- if there's 1 thing I know, it's that I'm a fighter and there's no such thing as 'can't'!"

In 2018, Abby was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma and has been limited to a wheelchair for more than a year.

In July 2018, she shared photos from her physical therapy where she was beginning to learn to walk again. And now, it's clear how much progress she's made since then, and it's awesome to see.

Abby's had a pretty rough go of it lately. Aside from battling cancer, she also served time in prison for felony bankruptcy fraud. But last year, Abby Lee Miller returned to Dance Moms, and she's come such a long way.

We're glad that Abby is doing so well these days.

She's obviously been working really hard in physical therapy, and we're glad to see that it's all starting to pay off -- especially because there were once fears Abby would never walk again.

We're rooting for Abby. There's no doubt in our minds that she'll be back to dancing someday.
