Mom Dying of Breast Cancer Sends Powerful Message in Moving Video

Get ready for the feels, because they're coming. Mom and cancer victim Holley Kitchen, 42, is battling stage IV metastatic breast cancer, and she is determined to raise awareness about what it's like to have such a disease. She made a video using nothing other than her pretty face and flash cards, and it's gone viral because of it's important and inspiring message.

Holley's video has been viewed over 40 million times, and it's not hard to understand why. Through a series of flash cards set against Rachel Platten's "Fight Song," she shared her journey from finding out that she had stage III breast cancer to now dealing with metastatic cancer that will ultimately take her life.

I admit, I would never have known what to say to someone dealing with this type of cancer. After watching this video, all I want to do is hug everyone dealing with this, and ask, "What exactly can I pray about for you?"

And then, like Holley suggests, actually pray!

The mom of two boys, ages 4 and 6, said that she made the video right before dinner on a Thursday night, on her bedroom floor. "I had a few moments to myself while my husband was playing a game with the kids," she said. It took four takes to get it right, and it's taken off far and above what she ever hoped for.

"I was hoping to just get 1,000 views!" she said. She also said that her main goal is to "educate people," and her focus is now quality of life. She said that she's "feeling good" overall, and hopefully she can feel the virtual hugs sent to her by the many who have viewed this video and learned something from her.

Have you ever known someone with metastatic cancer?
