Target Employee Channels William Wallace for Inspiring Black Friday Speech (VIDEO)

Best. Pep. Talk. Ever! Who would've thought a retail employee could actually get excited going to work on Black Friday? We hear so many horror stories about the most notorious shopping day of the year that it's hard not to lose faith in humanity a little. But this rousing speech given by a manager at Target will hopefully restore it.

It's like watching William Wallace in a red polo and khakis, you guys. It's that inspirational.

The man, who has since been identified as Scott Simms, a manager at a Target in Westminster, Maryland, stands on a checkout counter as doors prepare to open for early Black Friday sales at 6 P.M. on Thanksgiving Day. These employees likely would rather be anywhere but there, probably nursing tryptophan hangovers, and not looking forward to their shifts one little bit.

"People of Target!" Scott rallies the troops. "Brothers, sisters, hear me now! They're standing out there. Any moment now, those doors will be breached. Whatever comes through those gates, you will stand your ground with a smile on your face!"

"They come here with bargains in their heads, and fire in their eyes!" he continued, warning about the types of shoppers they can expect to encounter. "And we shall give those bargains to them! We will show them that we are not just the best store in this neighborhood, but the best store anywhere. Because we are more than just a store."

Then he totally channeled Gerard Butler's Spartan King Leonidas in the movie 300. "This is a team. This is family. This. Is. Target!" he roared to the applause of the other employees. "Let 'em in!"

Simms later said to the Carroll County Times, "I prepared it in my head a little bit during the day ... I kind of wanted to do it because every year there's that calm before the storm and it kind of reminded me of 300 or Braveheart."

Take a look and try not to be amazed. I swear between this and Alex From Target, I just might have to go get myself a job application.

Do you think this would be the best part of working on Black Friday?
