A White Guy Walks Around NYC for 10 Hours: You Won't Believe What Happens (VIDEO)

man walking around nycThe video that shows a woman walking around New York City for 10 hours and getting catcalled 108 times has certainly drummed up a lot of controversy. People just can't stop talking about it. Of course, because it's gaining so much attention, an inevitable spoof or two is sure to follow. The hilarious folks behind Funny or Die were more than up for the task. So they sent a white man to walk around New York City for 10 hours to see what would happen.

And it's everything that you'd expect.

Of course, the extremely important discussions surrounding the original video shouldn't be disregarded, and the rape threats against the aspiring actress featured in it should also be taken very seriously. But this parody just goes to show how great it can be to be a white dude sometimes. You'll even get free Chipotle!!

“After a video of a woman experiencing over 100 instances of street harassment during a 10-hour period walking the streets of New York City went viral, Funny Or Die News decided to conduct an experiment to see what happens to a white man walking the streets of NYC,” the makers behind the video posted. This is something that everyone needs to see.

And what an experiment! Instead of getting unsolicited comments and being followed around uncomfortably, this guy gets high-fives, beers, burritos, free sunscreen to keep his skin as white as possible, offers to network, footballs thrown at him, job offers, Starbucks gift cards, grills, and is carried around on a "throne" and called the King of New York. Ah, privilege. As it says in the video, long live the patriarchy!

What a wonderful life, isn't it? Just goes to show that New York isn't such a terrible place after all!

Sigh. Okay. I guess we have to go back to those discussions about sexism, racism, and harassment now, huh?

Did you think this video is funny? Do you ever wish that you could be a white man?
