It's been a tough week for Andrew Glennon, to put it mildly. It was just last Friday when he had to call law enforcement officers to protect himself and his 14-month-old son against girlfriend Amber Portwood's alleged rage. At a court appearance this week over Amber's arrest, TMZ caught up with the Teen Mom OG regular and asked him how he's been holding up.

  • Andrew appeared in court on Wednesday, July 10, and TMZ asked him how he was doing as he went into the building.

"I've seen better days," he told the camera. Interestingly, he didn't comment if he and Amber are still together, but we're thinking probably not at this point. A judge served Amber with a no-contact order for both Andrew and their son, James, and Andrew has filed for sole custody.

He also wasn't the one to bail Amber out of jail last Saturday, one day after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting him while he was holding James. Apparently it was an unnamed, unrelated female who posted Amber's $2,000 bond to get her out of jail.

  • Amber was charged with three felonies this week, after allegedly attacking Andrew last week with a machete.

Prosecutors hit Amber with three felony charges, including domestic battery, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old.

According to a police affidavit, Andrew claims that Amber became enraged when they weren't able to get to a Fourth of July fireworks show last week because of the roads being blocked. He dropped her off at home to "cool off," but she reportedly attacked him with a shoe, leaving a mark on either his neck or shoulder. He says he then took James to the car and drove around for three hours, calling her several times to judge her mood and gauge if it was safe to come home.
  • When he finally came home, he says that's when things got out of control.

Andrew called law enforcement sometime around 2 a.m., after he claims Amber unsheathed her machete and went after him and James. She also reportedly threatened to kill herself.

    According to the affidavit:

"Mr. Glennon stated Ms. Portwood picked up a machete towards him and [the baby]. Mr. Glennon stated he locked himself and [the baby] into the office. Mr. Glennon stated she hit the door with the machete and kicked the door and broke the handle. Mr. Glennon stated that is when he called for help."
  • We think Andrew is doing pretty well, considering what he's been though the past several days.

We really hope that Andrew takes that baby and runs. Amber has been pretty open about her mental health problems, including having both bipolar and borderline personality disorders, but that's her issue, not Andrew's. She needs some serious help, and Andrew needs to take care of himself and James.

Just because Amber is the woman here doesn't make her actions any less horrifically abusive. Take that baby and run, Andrew.
