Hannah Brown may have been falling in love with Jed Wyatt on Monday night's episode of The Bachelorette, but he's not winning a lot of favors with the portion of Bachelor Nation who read the spoilers. Hannah's frontrunner even took to Instagram on Monday to ask fans to take a step back from the hate mail, especially when it comes to his family.

Warning: This post contains major spoilers for this season's Bachelorette, including Hannah's final pick.

  • Jed shared a photo of his family on Monday night, the same night we met them on his hometown date.

We're getting the impression that this whole process has been a major trial for Jed's family. It was pretty clear they weren't vibing on his relationship with Hannah, and his mom even offered the awkward toastL "Here's to everyone trusting their intuition and their gut every day. When you stick to your truth, it's beneficial to everybody."

According to Jed, things have only gotten worse for his family, and he took to Instagram to ask people to step back from harassing his family. He wrote, "Hi y'all. Several of you have reached out with messages and questions. Please know I'm not able to answer right now, but as soon as I'm able to, I will."

Jed continued, "Until then, I ask that you please understand how much the actions being taken towards myself, my family, the men on the show, and above all, Hannah, are affecting all of our mental and physical health. It goes beyond what is said online. Threatening letters and phone calls have been sent to our homes."

"My parents and sister are being verbally attacked in public," he continued. "I beg you to remember what seems like a harmless action is damaging to real people. I want to thank all of you who have reached out or reserved judgement until I am able to speak openly and I can only ask for your patience and kindness until then."

  • We're guessing all the hate is coming from Jed's alleged relationship with Haley Stevens.

Last month, Haley came forward to reveal that she was Jed's girlfriend when he left for the show, and that he told her that he was only going on it to further his music career. She told People magazine, "He told me [the show] was just an obstacle and we'd be stronger on the other side because of it."

She added, "He wanted a platform. He kept telling me, 'I don't want my dad to have to help me pay rent anymore.' He said he only wanted to be top five ... to be a major player so that it would be beneficial."

  • Of course it didn't work out that way.

Reality Steve revealed last month that Hannah gives Jed her final rose, and that he proposes to her. He was upfront about coming on the show as a platform on their first one-on-one date, but he conveniently left out the part about having a girlfriend. He only told Hannah that he wasn't expecting to fall in love with her, but he did anyway.

  • However, when Hannah found out about Haley, she broke off the engagement.

Reality Steve revealed a couple of weeks ago, "I can confirm that Hannah broke off her engagement to Jed earlier this week. They are still 'together,' but the engagement is off. This isn't a 'don't ever talk to me again' from what I'm being told, but it's also not all rainbows and daffodils either..."

Last week, he confirmed in a blog post, "Hannah and Jed are done completely. She's broken off the relationship altogether. She's not trying or hoping for it to work out. They are done."

We can't say that we blame her, especially because there may have been another woman that Jed cheated on Haley with. Haley claimed in a podcast with Reality Steve that she later learned Jed slept with another woman 10 days before they went to the Bahamas together. What. A. Mess.

  • From what Jed wrote on Instagram, it sounds like he's chomping at the bit to defend himself.

He's under contract with ABC to not talk about the show, so all we have now is Haley's side of the story. We're going to reserve judgement until we hear his side, but the fact that Hannah has apparently washed her hands of him doesn't bode well.

The only thing we know for sure is that this is probably going to be the best After the Final Rose show in awhile.
