Jenelle Evans Has Been Fired From 'Teen Mom 2'

Jenelle Evans

We never thought this day would come, but apparently, it's here -- Jenelle Evans's time on Teen Mom 2 is officially over. According to Us Weekly, MTV has fired Jenelle from the show following the incident involving David Eason shooting their family dog, Nugget, last week.

  • In a statement to the site, MTV made it clear that they will not continue to film Jenelle.

“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since,” a spokesperson for the network said. “Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

Whoa -- no more Jenelle? That's a lot to take in.

  • Fans have been outraged since the incident with David & Nugget, and at first, it seemed Jenelle was too.

In fact, she even posted this photo and a tribute to Nugget on Instagram, writing:

Nugget... I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed... you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back.

We thought this might finally be the last straw and she'd leave David for good, but she ended up going back home, so it seems as if she and David have somehow managed to patch things up -- even though we can't understand how there's any coming back from this.

  • Meanwhile, Jenelle's only reaction to the news so far is to retweet a story from Us Weekly about how she's feeling right now.

In the story, a source close to Jenelle says she is "shocked and really upset," adding, "The decision was given to her suddenly after a lot of back and forth with MTV.”

But was it really sudden? Since David was fired, Jenelle hasn't been able to film the way she once could. This season has been full of pieced-together footage, and it's obviously been really difficult to make her segment happen. It seemed it was only a matter of time before something had to give, and the Nugget situation only served to push that to happen faster.

  • Whatever happens next, we just know there will be drama.

If we know Jenelle, we know she isn't going to go quietly -- but with David's track record, we just hope that she and her kids find a way to stay safe.
