Ryan Edwards Reportedly Wants a Break From Mackenzie Standifer

Mackenzie Standifer, Ryan Edwards

He just got out of jail, and the first thing Ryan Edwards reportedly wants is to ditch his family. According to reports, after being released from a three-month stint behind bars, Ry's first priority is to spend some time by himself, not with his wife, Mackenzie Standifer.

  • Ryan was released from jail on Monday, after being held for three months on charges related to a previous drug arrest.

An insider revealed to Radar Online, "Ryan told Mackenzie, 'The first thing I want to do is ... I need a little time to be by myself.' He's had no private time at all."

OK, we can sort of understand that, but wouldn't he want to spend time with his wife and new baby before anything else? Mackenzie gave birth to their son Jagger in October, which he missed because he was in a long-term treatment facility for his alleged heroin addiction.

The insider also shared how Ryan wants to spend his "private time." The source explained, "He said he wants to sit in the woods for a whole day and not have to listen to anyone talk. He wants to get on his motorcycle and ride it."

  • Apparently, Mackenzie doesn't mind.

The insider said Ryan's wife "understands." The source shared, "She told him, 'I've been taking care of these kids. You need to help me with the kids when you're done!’ She's been really good. She's been very firm with Ryan ... I hope Mackenzie loves him till she dies. You never know. There are no guarantees."

The 31-year-old has spent the last three months in the Hamilton County Jail in Tennessee. He was arrested on January 23, 2019, after allegedly walking out on a $36 bar tab in Chattanooga in December 2018, and was also booked on a heroin possession charge from an outstanding warrant, according to Us Weekly

    • Neither Mackenzie nor Ryan have spoken about his release, but she did share a telling photo on her Instagram story on Tuesday.

"That new new" she captioned a photo of a fresh tattoo that reads, "I love you." Is that Ryan's handwriting? If she's getting a tattoo in his honor, it's probably safe to say she's happy he's home, even if he does just want to go sit in the woods and ride his motorcycle.

    • Or maybe she just enjoys the time away from him, too.

Another source previously reported that Mackenzie is "more relaxed with Ryan gone." The source also said, "She's being more like her old self where she is more down to earth and not in defense mode all the time."

The whole situation seems pretty dang stressful, no matter which way you slice it. Here's to hoping that Ryan can keep himself clean and out of jail or rehab from here on out. His family deserves it.
