The 'Full House' Cast: Then & Now

It's not as if we're constantly daydreaming about that time in our lives when online shopping wasn't even a thing, or nights when we had to take a trip to Blockbuster (RIP) to rent a movie. But we do get a bit nostalgic about the '90s every now and then. Yes, TV may be pretty great right now (and only getting better), and there are more than enough reasons for us to head to the theater, but there's also a reason that reboots and remakes are the thing to do right now: They just don't make 'em like they used to!

Right now, we're excited for whatever the Beverly Hills, 90210 cast is cooking up, but we also can't forget about one of the old-school series that helped kick off this throwback trend: Fuller House.

Remember how exciting it was to see these cast members -- some of whom we hadn't seen in ages -- reunite on screen for the first time? Remember when we wondered what life would be like for the characters we grew up with? Remember when we had hope that Mary-Kate and Ashley would return to their acting roots? (That's definitely not happening, BTW.)

Over the past four seasons, the story lines on Fuller House didn't disappoint, and we're definitely sad to see the show end after its upcoming fifth and final season. Still, it is nice that we had any follow-up at all. And, obviously, we'll always have the memories (and the episodes to binge-watch).

Speaking of memories, it's kind of crazy to see just how far these actors and actresses have come since the OG days. A few of them first came into our lives as kids -- and now they have kids of their own! (Although, we guess that's how aging works.)

As we gear up for the end (we're hoping for multiple weddings during the Fuller House finale), we're going to take a trip down memory lane, seeing what these stars looked like back in the '90s, what they look like now, and what they were up to all those years in between.

  • Bob Saget: Then

Danny Tanner is famously known as the loving, caring, neat freak dad on the show. Seriously, he's one of our favorite TV dads who always knew how to bring everyone together.

  • Bob Saget: Now

Bob Saget is obviously still playing the character he made famous, but he also was the voice behind How I Met Your Mother for all those years and recently got married.

  • John Stamos: Then

Uncle Jesse was too cool for school. For many, he was our first crush when he moved into the Tanner house to help Danny take care of his daughters after his wife (Jesse's sister) passed away.

Plus, who could forget his hair?!

  • John Stamos: Now

John Stamos is still cool with great hair -- and now he's a dad, too! Plus, Fuller House isn't the only show he's on at the moment. John also popped up on the Netflix thriller You.

  • Dave Coulier: Then

    Cut. It. Out!

Back in the day, Joey had catchphrases and did the best impressions. Sure they were all cheesy, but we still have love for them.

  • Dave Coulier: Now

Not much has changed for the actor, which is probably why his resume is full of voiceover work for shows like Robot Chicken and Voltron.

  • Candace Cameron Bure: Then

DJ was the older sister -- and BFF -- everyone wished they had. If there was a lesson to be learned, she learned it first. Though she did sometimes quarrel with her sisters, at the end of the day, it's nothing but love.

  • Candace Cameron Bure: Now

Candace has had a pretty successful career, becoming a big star on the Hallmark Channel and once cohosting The View. These days, Candace stars in the made-for-TV mystery series Aurora Teagarden and gives us some fitness inspo on her Instagram.

  • Jodie Sweetin: Then

    Jodie Sweetin in Full House

She sang, she danced, and she was sometimes the annoying middle sister who got into trouble. But at the end of the day, we resonated with Stephanie Tanner on a number of levels.

  • Jodie Sweetin: Now

Jodie struggled with substance abuse over the years, but she did write a book on her experience (unSweetined: A Memoir). She also stars in the TV show Hollywood Darlings with two other '90s stars, Christine Lakin (from Step by Step) and Beverley Mitchell (from 7th Heaven).

Like Candace, Jodie also stars in movies for Hallmark, which fills out hearts with so much joy.

  • Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: Then

MK and A alternated playing the adorable Michelle -- although, sometimes they were cousins or Michelle's conscience. They grew up on the show playing the lovable and sometimes annoying baby sister. Sadly, we'll never know if Michelle got her memory back as the TV series abruptly ended (it was canceled).

  • Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: Now

These two have left acting for the fashion world after a series of TV shows and numerous straight-to-video movies that pretty much defined the '90s. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen now run two successful brands: Elizabeth and James, and The Row.

  • Lori Loughlin: Then

    Lori Loughlin in Full House

Aunt Becky started out as Danny Tanner's co-host on Wake Up, San Francisco, but fell for Jesse and soon became the cool aunt.

  • Lori Loughlin: Now

Has Lori aged at all! She went on to have roles on Summerland, 90210, and has made a name for herself in the land of Hallmark. Not only does she bring the feels in Hallmark Christmas movies, but Lori has enjoyed some great success as Jennifer Shannon in the Garage Sale Mystery series.

Lori has two daughters with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli.

  • Andrea Barber: Then

    Andrea Barber in Full House

The annoying neighbor we couldn't bring ourselves to hate! While Kimmy was definitely treated unfairly by some members of the family (she wasn't that annoying), she did have a BFF in DJ.

Their friendship was pretty serious goals.

  • Andrea Barber: Now

Andrea wasn't crazy about acting, so took time off to go to school. We're happy she reconsidered showbiz, though, because Fuller House wouldn't be the same without her!

  • Scott Weinger: Then

    Scott Weinger photo

As DJ's boyfriend, Steve was definitely the heartthrob on the show! We were SUPER bummed when they broke up!

  • Scott Weinger: Now

Aside from voicing Aladdin, Scott has worked behind-the-scenes, writing and producing episodes of Black-ish, 90210, and What I Like About You. We're so happy he's back as Steve on Fuller House and can't wait to see how the final season plays out.

Scott has been married since 2008 and has a son named Mischa.

  • Dyan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit: Then

Dyan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit in Fuller House

Nicky and Alex Katsopolis were Jesse and Becky's adorable twins, with equally great hair as their dad. They definitely upped the cuteness factor on Full House for sure!

  • Dyan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit: Now

These two also ended up behind the scenes. Dylan has worked in the sound department on shows like Game of Thrones and Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, while Blake is an audio engineer whose credits include The Blackout.

  • Gail Edwards: Then

After being single for some time after his wife passed, Danny found love again with Vicky Larson. While the two did get engaged at one point, they broke up when their careers and lives pulled them in different directions.

Gail's TV credits ended in 1994 with an appearance on Touched by an Angel. She seems to live a private life, though (thankfully), she did pop up for one episode of Fuller House in 2017.

  • Tahj Mowry: Then

    Tahj Mowry in Full House

Teddy was Michelle's BFF who she didn't want to move away -- and we didn't, either! He eventually moved back, though, and the two continued to be pals.

  • Tahj Mowry: Now

Tahj -- who's also Tia and Tamera's younger brother -- voiced Wade on Kim Possible and starred in a series of TV shows, from The Game to Baby Daddy.

  • Marla Sokoloff: Then

    Marla Sokoloff in Full House

Gia and Steph started out as enemies, but later became besties -- much like Kimmy was to DJ. We didn't always like her but did come to love her.

  • Marla Sokoloff: Now

The Practice. Dude Where's My Car? The Fosters. Marla definitely has grown her acting creds over the years.

Fun fact: While she's a happily married mom these days, she did date James Franco at one point!
