Jenelle Evans Could Be in Trouble With the Law (Again)
Looks like things aren't off to the greatest start when it comes to Jenelle Evans' latest business venture. Apparently, Jenelle's cosmetics company isn't registered with the state, which means this former Teen Mom 2 star is slacking off in a major way with the legalities of her biz. This is not a great sign ...
It all came down to Jenelle not finishing the necessary paperwork to register JE Cosmetics.
As Radar Online reported, her business isn't registered anywhere -- not North Carolina, California, New York, or Delaware. It seems she filed for a trademark in 2017, and then nothing happened with that until she filed a Notice to Revive Application for that same trademark in April 2019.
After that? Well, it sounds like it's been crickets from Jenelle.
"There was an attempt to register the company as an LLC in November 2017, but the registration was never completed," a clerk from the North Carolina Secretary of State's office told the site. "A letter was sent, but there was no response since then."
So far, Jenelle seems to be spending time with her family and remaining unbothered.
In fact, she has hardly mentioned anything about her cosmetics brand recently, so are we to believe that it's already fallen by the wayside? Maybe so. There was a little buzz she was switching manufacturers, but no updates so far.
Whatever's going on with her, we hope everything is okay.
Between the incident with Nugget and losing her MTV gig, it's been one heck of a year for Jenelle. We'd love to see her land on her feet and finally take this as the wakeup call she needs, but so far, this doesn't seem to be happening.
Fingers crossed she'll get her paperwork together and file that trademark. It's so important if she wants to run a business for real!
