Dakota Meyer Drags Ex Bristol Palin Through the Mud Once Again

Bristol Palin, Dakota Meyer

If you've been watching Teen Mom OG, you already know that Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer's divorce has been rough -- and on Monday's episode, things between them got even more dramatic. During a phone call with his ex, Dakota said the show changed Bristol for the worst, and we seriously don't see the drama with these two dying down anytime soon.

  • According to Bristol, Dakota was blowing off her text messages about the kids, and when she finally did get ahold of him, it wasn't pretty.

As she told Dakota on the phone, she just wanted them to get to a good place, beyond all the drama, for the good of their daughters, but Dakota wasn't buying it.

"Pick up the phone, text me when there's not cameras around," Dakota said. "Show me that you're gonna have genuine intentions and it ain't just for the show to start some drama."

  • But even though we understand why Dakota was p*ssed that she called him while MTV was filming, we also get why she'd want to get this all on film.

Like she told Dakota on the phone, she wanted there to be "accountability" for them, because it's hard to change the story later if it was all captured on camera.

But they didn't get anywhere with their conversation, and by the time Dakota hung up he was fuming, saying that Bristol was more worried about what people think about her than she was about the kids, and that's how the show has changed her.

"That's what the show has done to her," Dakota said. "She's more focused on the show and her image than she is about the best interest of the kids. The kids are fine. This is the pettiness that I have to look forward to forever."

  • This is hardly the first time Dakota has spoken out about the show -- he's been tweeting about how over it he is, too.

Being that he and Bristol are both brand new to the show, it makes sense that the adjustment period would be a little rocky, but maybe if it's causing this many issues, it's not worth it?

  • As far as last night's episode goes, Bristol isn't having it. She promptly took to Instagram to rip Teen Mom OG for how she was portrayed.

    She captioned this photo with:

If I cared what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be here today - let’s be real. I’ve stood strong and held it down for my kids since day one. No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my “life” ..... my babies, my family, my close friends - they know the TRUTH. I’m a pretty great mom, work my ass off, show up, and hustle everyday to give my kids a pretty great life. @mtv doesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues. All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true. Don’t get me wrong - I’ve said some mean things and learned a lot the last several months - but the life I’ve built for my kids is NOT sitting around talking about baby daddy drama. Every week is a continued disappointment with their inaccuracies and false narratives. I hate getting all emo on you guys but I’ve kept quiet for too long about it. Don’t believe everything you see on TV.

  • What matters most are their daughters, Sailor and Atlee, so hopefully, these two can get it together soon.

Our fingers are crossed that 2019 is a drama-free year for this family.
