We've been keeping Danielle Fishel's son in our thoughts, and now, we have more information on how baby Adler is doing. Recently, Danielle shared an update on her baby after he was hospitalized for complications following his birth. We can't imagine what going through this situation must be like for this new mom.

Earlier this month, the actress and her husband, Jensen Karp, announced the arrival of their little boy, Adler.

He was born on June 24, but Danielle and Jensen waited until July 1 to share the news with fans. The celeb mom wrote a heartbreaking post about how she'd gone into labor four weeks early, and that fluid was found in Adler's lungs after he was born, sending him straight to the NICU.

"We feel helpless and powerless and useless and we wanted so badly to follow our 'birth plan,' unsurprisingly none of which involved leaving our beautiful baby boy at the hospital for the first weeks of his life," she wrote at the time.

Then, on Friday, Danielle shared another update, and it sounds like Adler is still in the hospital.

There is good news, though: Danielle says he's getting "better and stronger" every day, which we're so glad to hear.

She didn't let us know when he'll be coming home, but it also sounds like she doesn't know the answer to that question just yet. Seeing your child sick or in pain is terrible, and we know Danielle and Jensen must be so ready to leave the hospital and start their lives as parents in their own environment.

But so far, it seems like this little guy is a total fighter.

It's so sweet to hear that she's treasuring these "bonus" days with her little one, even though they have to be truly difficult. We love her attitude in the face of all of this. Adler is so lucky to have her as his mom.

Seems like everyone out there is truly rooting for this little guy, and our fingers are definitely crossed for him. These commenters are right: Adler in the best place he could be for now, and it sounds like he is getting excellent care.

**UPDATE**: It looks like baby Adler finally went home -- hooray!!

We can't wait for more updates, and we're really pulling for Danielle and her fam. We're also looking forward to seeing photos of Adler in his nursery at home, where he belongs.
