Where would our lives be without the Jersey Shore and all of the fun-loving antics, drama, and craziness that come with the territory. It's been quite the ride since joining this gang in Seaside Heights back in 2009. They gave us six seasons of fun, fights, and everything in between. We've just about seen it all -- drunken nights, bar fights, in-house fights, trips to Italy, partying it up in Miami, and friendships that will last a lifetime. And as we continue the journey with Snooki, JWoww, Pauly D, Vinny, The Situation, and Ronnie with Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, we can't help but look back on all the moments we witnessed and the lessons we've learned along the way.

As much as Jersey Shore has been a fun escape from our daily lives and reality (paying bills and dealing with school debt can be such a downer), in many ways, we've grown up with the cast, considering nine years have passed. And with most of the Jersey Shore stars going on to start families of their own, some things have changed, while others stayed the same.

Life for this reality crew has moved on with lessons learned, mistakes made, and trials overcome. Sure, there's still the wild night (or two) that certain cast members remember more than others, but ultimately, everyone has grown up in their own right.

... well, some more than others (LOL).

Here's a look back at a few things we learned watching the Jersey Shore (yes, it's possible to pick up some positive tidbits) that are still relevant and just might make life a little easier.
  • Getting Sauced Early in the Morning Isn't the Best Look -- No Matter How Much We Try to Dress it Up

    1

Our recovery time from a hangover just isn't what it used to be ... so maybe a few glasses of water between those mimosas might be the way to go.

  • Keep a Driver Waiting & It'll Cost Ya

    2

Certain ride-hailing companies have "wait time fees" that can zap up whatever coins in the bank peeps are trying to save. Plus, folks who try to roll being "fashionably late" run the risk of a bad review, and ain't nobody got time for that.

  • Giving Birth Ain't Easy

    3

Sweet delivery room moans, if this is not the truth! Being pregnant and giving birth is not easy.

  • Sometimes, the Very Thing We're Searching for Is Right in Front of Us

    4

Or next to us in this case as Snooki just couldn't figure out where the heck the beach was after a day of drinking.

  • It Only Gets Better With Age

    5

Our knees might crack from time to time, but that's not stopping us from dipping it and doing it.

  • Carrying Excess Baggage Can Be Problematic AF

    6

Be like Elsa: Just let that sh*t go.

Excess baggage is bad for the body and bad for the soul.

  • Jumping Into a Relationship for the Sake of Not Being 'Lonely' Isn't the Move

    7

We can all do ourselves a favor by embracing our singleness instead of trying to couple up with someone we know isn't the best candidate for our hearts or worth our time.

  • Airing Out Frustrations: Good; Not Throwing Random Household Objects During the Process: Better

    8

Back in the day, one of us might've felt the spirit move us to handle confrontations with physical force. But now that we're older, we realize there are better alternatives -- like using words instead of fists -- that will have a more positive effect on the matter and not land us in jail for assaulting someone.

We got bills and can't afford the bail.

  • 'Love Thy Enemy' Might Actually Be Possible

    9

As fans saw on the first season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation with Angelina, sometimes old drama is just water under the bridge.

  • No Regrets Is the Way to Go

    10

Every life moment, both good and bad, provides an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • If It's Not on Facebook, It Didn't Happen

    11

    Kidding ... well, kinda.

Everyone plasters their personal lives on social media -- including enough selfies to last two lifetimes, and endless pics of our food. So if the boo thang a person has eyes for is super active on Facebook, but wants to keep the relationship "on the low," that might be the writing on the wall to look out for ... because that's kinda suspect.

  • Self-Awareness Can Be a Powerful Thing

    12

"To thy own self be true."

Shakespeare aside, knowing our triggers, boundaries, and situations we can (and can't) tolerate can give us a peace that surpasses all understanding.

  • Certain Things & People Just Aren't Worth the Energy

    13

Speaking of emotions and stuff, the older we get, the less time we have to get wrapped up in pettiness and pointless drama. Folks can stay on crazy, but we'll be off trying to bless up our situation.

  • Furniture Costs Too Dag on Much to Let People Puke on It

    14

Even IKEA can be disrespectful with its shipping fees. So if peeps feel the need to upchuck, they best do so in the bathroom (or outside).

  • Keep the Inner Circle Tight

    15

Not everyone needs to be in our business, know or business, or get a sniff of our business. If someone feels a little ... off, use the force, and kick said someone to the curb.

  • Cheating on a Pregnant Significant Other Is Not the Best Look

    16

Sorry, Ron, we don't know how to sugarcoat this one. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cameras caught Ronnie cheating on his then-pregnant girlfriend, Jen Harley. Needless to say, the aftermath was full of a lot of drama.

Bottom line: Cheating on a pregnant significant other probably isn't the best look.

  • Secure Them Valuables at All Times

    17

Always make sure every real and faux diamond that cost a pretty penny is secured and accounted for.

  • Family Isn't Always Blood & Should Be Loved to the Fullest

    18

We hold every person who brings joy to our hearts close and don't take them for granted.
