What in the world is going on with these two? After a series of cryptic social media messages from Kaitlyn Bristowe, the Bachelorette alum finally took to her podcast on Thursday to address those breakup rumors with longtime fiance Shawn Booth.

  • Kaitlyn has not only seemed down in the dumps lately -- she also hasn't been pictured wearing her engagement ring, which Shawn gave to her three years ago after she gave him her final rose on The Bachelorette

On August 14, Kait posted this #Realstagram photo and shared with her fans that she was having a "really bad" day. She wrote, "Anxiety is something very new to me but also very real. We go through things as human beings wether you have a platform or not. And I just wanna say, that no matter where you’re at emotionally today, could be different tomorrow. So sit in your feelings. Sit in being sad and uncomfortable, and try to talk to someone about it.”

She also said that her mood was sparked over missing Tucker, her dog she shares with Booth. She said, "I'm counting the days to see him again. Just wanted to tell ya you’re not alone and you’re not crazy to get caught up in your emotions. You’re human. Now go [throw] a scrunchie in your hair and give yourself a mirror high five."

  • Which of course had fans wondering if she and Shawn had called it quits after three years together.

After all, they obviously haven't been spending time together lately, and Internet sleuths even noticed that she hadn't been liking his Instagram photos. Kaitlyn took to her Off the Vine podcast on Thursday to clear up the rumors.

She explained, "So here's the truth. I'm in Canada because every single year I have made a promise to myself and my family that I will come up every August and enjoy downtime with the people that I love in a country that I love. Family is so important to me. Relationships in general are very important to me. I put relationships first. Shawn did not come up with me because the guy just bought a gym. He bought a business. He has started something huge. He is the most dedicated person I've ever met. He's gonna have to be there for months … We are both so busy and unfortunately that means we're spending all of this time apart."

She continued, "If you've ever been a person who is running a successful brand or business and a person who is doing the same but in a different career path you know times can be tough. You are both always away, you're exhausted at the end of the day, sometimes the relationship isn't being put first, but does that mean you call it quits? No. You love the sh-t out of each other and you work through it -- and yourselves to be better. And you know that times aren’t always going to be smooth sailing. … You just have to get through those hurdles and enjoy the good times. Shawn and I are 110 percent committed to each other and, yes, we are still together."

  • Are we the only ones not buying what she's selling?

Kaitlyn admitted herself on the podcast that they're not making their relationship a priority right now. It kind of seems like they're on two completely different pages right now, as he's launching his business, and she's making sure to carve out time with her family -- even if it means being away from him.

Of course relationships can survive this kind of separation, but it makes it really, really tough. It honestly sounds like they're taking a little break from each other, maybe to figure out what they're doing and what they really want. Who knows?

  • We really hope this is just a brief stop on their road to happily ever after because they really do seem perfect for each other.

Who cares if they've been engaged for three years without a wedding? Two people don't need to be married to be committed to each other. As Shawn said to Us Weekly in May, "It blows my mind when people ask, 'Why haven't you gotten married?' Because we've been together for three years and I'd like to see the timeline on people's relationships and engagements who are asking us. Being together for three years without getting married doesn't seem strange to me."
