He's definitely not completely sober after getting back home from a three-month stint in jail, but according to at least one insider, Ryan Edwards may at least finally be off drugs. It's about dang time, after spending three months in rehab last fall, and another three months in jail earlier this year, over his alleged heroin addiction.

"He seems to be clear of heroin," the insider revealed. "He hasn't been wide-eyed or sluggish." The source explained that Ry "does still drink," though. "He does his own thing during the day when she's at work. Mackenzie doesn’t trust him fully ... She doubts his decisions if she's not supervising him."

Apparently Ryan hasn't changed his "careless attitude," and the insider added, "His personality sucks."

"Not a good look?" he asked Mackenzie, who indicated no with a shake of her head. He replied, "I just want a beer with my steak."

Ryan and Mackenzie returned to Teen Mom OG this season, after quitting the show last summer, when MTV reportedly didn't want to focus Ryan's storyline on his recovery from addiction. We can't image why not. According to another insider, the couple decided to join the show again after running out of money. They explained to Radar Online, "They went through all their money. That is the only reason they continue to film."

We're glad to hear that Ryan seems to be off of heroin, and seriously hope that alcohol isn't a slippery slope to addiction again.-placeholder

Honestly, it's pretty concerning that Ryan still has a "careless attitude" when it comes to anything, especially his sobriety. After what he's put his family through over the years due to his addiction, he should be taking great care to make reparations and build trust with his wife, parents, and kids. They've all stood by him while he made some really bad decisions, and he owes it to them to care.

It's going to be interesting to see if Ryan really tries to change this season, or if it's more of the same old stuff.-placeholder

Of course, we're rooting for real change, but drug addiction is tough to beat. Yet another source told Radar in April that his family worries that he'll relapse. The insider explained, "Being incarcerated, his family hopes he learned his lesson and stays clean. Would they bet on it? Not on a dime. Drugs are very powerful. When your body needs them, you do things you normally wouldn't do."
