Leah Messer Gets Involved in the Drama Between Kailyn Lowry & Briana DeJesus

Teen Mom 2 is finally back for another season, and as to be expected at this point -- the ladies definitely brought the drama. We have to give MTV a side-eye for the major drama on this week's episode, as they seem to have engineered an explosion in the love triangle between Kailyn Lowry, her ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and Javi's girlfriend at the time, new cast member Briana DeJesus.

  • As we all know now, Javi and Bri dated for several months last fall.

They had only been flirting when this episode was filmed, however, and MTV booked both Briana and Leah Messer for appearances at the Video Music Awards. While the ladies were getting hair and makeup at the hotel, Bri opened up to Leah about her burgeoning relationship with Javi, seemingly without understanding that Leah and Kail are besties

What did she think, that Leah wouldn't bring up to Kail that she was planning on staying in the same hotel room as Javi and the boys when they went to Disney World? Um, yeah. Never going to happen. Kail was rightly pissed, and confronted Javi about it.

  • We love that Leah had Kailyn's back, so that she wasn't blindsided by Javi's new relationship with Bri.

Although bad weather apparently got in the way of Javi and Bri sharing a hotel room with all the kids (she did clarify that it was supposed to be a suite with separate bedrooms) we can't help but wonder if it had more to do with Kail calling Javi out.

Of course Javi was totally confused as to how his ex-wife had come by such information, and immediately blamed Briana, who didn't seem to remember having spilled her guts to Leah in front of the MTV camera crew. Yeah, we're not surprised at all these two didn't ultimately work out

  • Then there was Jenelle Evans, her mother, and her ex's mother.

After Barbara Evans won sole custody of Jace last season (Jenelle is allowed every other weekend visits), Jenelle has made good on her word to cut her mother out of her life. Which hasn't sat well with Babs, apparently, as she "sold a story" to a tabloid collaborating Doris Davidson's story that she should have emergency custody of Jenelle's other son, due to alleged abuse in the home.

Davidson is Nathan Griffith's mom, who has had visitation with Kaiser, as Nate's rap sheet is too long to allow him unsupervised time with his child. The whole thing was a mess, and the only thing we're sure of is that drama surrounding Jenelle isn't going to get any better this season, seeing as how David was fired mid-season, and her tenure at the network seems uncertain at this point.

  • Even Chelsea DeBoer had some issues to deal with, regarding her ex Adam Lind.

Is anyone surprised that Adam reared his ugly head, despite the fact that he no longer films with MTV? Chels filed a petition with the court to have Aubree's last name legally changed from Lind to Lind-DeBoer, and Adam's lawyer shot back with a ridiculous demand. Adam wanted all child support to end, plus be forgiven about $10,000 in back support that he owed, in order for him to agree to the name change. As Chels pointed out, he obviously doesn't care about his daughter's last name -- he just wants to get something out of it.

But other than that minor hiccup, Chels seems to be living the charmed life with her sweet and adorable husband Cole, Aubs, and baby Watson. We couldn't be happier for her.
