Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s Wedding Date All Depends on 'The Bachelor'

Arie Luyendyk Jr., Lauren Burnham

They're already wedding planning! While most couples from Bachelor Nation end up being engaged for a few months before eventually sizzling out, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham seem to be going full steam ahead with planning for their nuptials

  • Apparently, they want the whole thing to revolve around the filming schedule for The Bachelor.

People magazine caught up with the controversial couple at the Long Beach Grand Prix over the weekend, and Arie revealed something interesting about their timing. "We're still in the beginning stages of the wedding planning," he said, adding that they "want to plan [the wedding] around the Bachelor schedule." He explained that even if they don't film the wedding for TV, it will allow "the producers that were filming The Bachelor [to] still be there."

He doesn't have a specific date in mind yet, but it's definitely before the end of the year. "It would either [be] in September or after they get done filming, which is in the middle of November," Arie said. "We are bouncing around ideas and dates, and [Burnham's] mom has been super helpful with venues, so we are just getting to it."

  • Even though it seems like most of the world is upset with how Arie handled his breakup with Becca Kufrin, they're still planning a big wedding.

Arie told the mag, "The more and more we get our list together, the larger the wedding is getting. Right now we are sort of going through the guest list and it is already at 250." He also admitted, "We would definitely want to just escape and elope, but we know that our parents wouldn't want that."

Somehow we find it hard to believe that they would be happy riding off into the sunset without a lavish and very public wedding, considering how much they've flaunted their relationship on social media since he dumped Becca on national TV, but whatever.

  • It seems like it would be pretty convenient for Lauren if ABC took over her wedding for her.

She admitted, "I don't want to put a lot of planning into it or a lot of effort, because I think it will stress me out," adding that she and Arie are "kind of just looking at venues all over the place" and "trying to figure out where we want to get married."

Does it sounds to anyone else like they're hoping the network will swoop in and take care of everything they need to tie the knot, including all the TV promos? It's certainly not the first time they've hinted at ABC filming their wedding

  • We're not saying that Arie and Lauren are only in it for the fame ...

We're just saying that it might help their case that it's true love if they weren't constantly trying to gain attention for themselves. That being said, we'll probably still tune in if their wedding is filmed. We're only human, after all.
