It looks like that protection order against Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout's ex Ryan Edwards was granted just in time. According to the court docs, Maci's husband Taylor McKinney also filed his own order (in addition to hers) against Ryan, after he threatened to "put a bullet" in his head

  • Maci was granted a temporary restraining order against Ryan this week, that included herself and all three of her children.

She shares 9-year-old Bentley with Ryan, and Jayde, 2, and Maverick, 1, with Taylor. In her filing, she said that Ry had shown up at one of Bentley's baseball games "under the influence of heroin and got in my face, yelling and threatening to hurt me." She continued, "He has left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son. He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don't answer my phone."

  • A judge also granted another restraining order on Taylor's behalf, after Ryan threatened to kill him.

Radar Online obtained a copy of Taylor's filing from Hamilton County Circuit Court, describing Edwards's behavior leading up to his arrest last week for breaking probation related to his March 2017 arrest for possession of heroin.

"He called me on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 and threatened to show up at my house and put a bullet in my head," Taylor wrote. "The police were called and they suggested to seek an order of protection." He also pointed out Ryan's "history of drug abuse," and his threat that "he would show up at our son's baseball game and confront us, my wife and I."

  • In addition to having two orders of protection granted against him, Ryan was also arrested last week.

Just one day after it was revealed in a Teen Mom OG preview that Mackenzie is pregnant with their first child together (she also has one son, Hudson, from a previous relationship), Ryan was arrested for "petition to revoke" (breaking probation).

  • We just hope this is a real wake-up call for Ryan.

Ryan obviously has a lot of issues he needs to overcome. Even if he really hasn't relapsed into drug use, he's got some anger management at least to deal with before he can safely see his son. With another baby on that way now ... well, we just hope that Ryan finally gets his act together. These kids deserve to have a dad.
