Ryan Edwards's Reaction to Mackenzie Standifer's Pregnancy News Is So Messed Up

Mackenzie Standifer and Ryan Edwards

Well, it's official -- Mackenzie Standifer is pregnant, but her baby daddy might not be as pumped as she would have hoped. On Monday night's episode of Teen Mom OG, it definitely seemed like Ryan Edwards isn't excited about his new baby -- and in light of everything that's happened with him over the last week, it's not that surprising.

  • Even though Mackenzie has constantly insisted that Ryan is THE MOST EXCITED EVER about this baby, it would seem that isn't quite the truth.

Can we talk about the fact that he told Mackenzie to call him "when the baby's 3" when she tried to have a discussion about getting ready for their future newborn? That's not really how most excited dads act, and it seems like he's already checked out of the process, even though Mackenzie just found out they're expecting.

  • But this wasn't just surprising to us because of what Mackenzie has said. Ryan has also seemed pumped in the past.

In fact, when Ryan and Mackenzie discussed the possibility of growing their family earlier this season, he seemed totally on board and ready to do it. Was he just kidding, or is he seriously not into the idea of a baby? Three-year-olds are fun, yes, but they kind of have to be babies first. That's just the way it works.

  • Then again, if he knew all this drama was coming down the pipeline, maybe that's why he was less than thrilled.

Let's face it -- getting arrested in the same day your wife announces she's pregnant isn't exactly ideal, and from everything Mackenzie has said on the subject, it also sounds like it was something that she and Ryan expected to happen, like they knew the arrest was coming. To be honest, it's not the best time to celebrate a pregnancy, but it is what it is.

  • We're just really hoping that Mackenzie and Ryan get this figured out before the baby arrives.

But no matter what happens? Next season of Teen Mom OG is going to be wild.
