Tia Booth Accused of Being Angry That Becca Kufrin Is 'The Bachelorette'

Apparently not everyone was thrilled this week when Bachelor fan favorite Becca Kufrin was named ABC's next Bachelorette. According to reports, Tia Booth was more than a little upset that she wasn't offered the role.

  • In case you've been living under a rock, Becca is going to be the lead on 'The Bachelorette,' which starts filming next week.

It's really the least ABC could do for her, after filming her awful breakup with Arie Luyendyk Jr. and airing it for all of America to see. And then sending her home to Minnesota and the snow from sunny Los Angeles in the middle seat of the airplane.

In all seriousness though, Becca is probably one of the most loved Bachelorettes we've ever seen. She is pure class, she's gorgeous, and we cannot wait for her to find the man of her dreams! If she wasn't offered the role, we can imagine that there would be riots and boycotts, because there would just be something wrong with the world.

  • However, it turns out that Tia may be less than enthused about Becca's new gig.

Tia was the first woman to be eliminated after the hometown dates, and apparently she was setting her sights on being the next Bachelorette. A former contestant told Radar Online that the Arkansas native was "pretty upset" that she wasn't offered the spot.

"I could tell Tia was trying really hard to be happy for Becca during the After The Final Rose ceremony, but deep down she knew it was so close to being her, and she can’t stand it," the insider explained. "She hates Arie so much more now since he ruined her chance at being the bachelorette."

  • Honestly? We're not buying it.

Tia and Becca became fast friends on the show, despite vying for the man's affections. An experience like that is bound to bond you, especially after they were both ultimately rejected by Arie.

Not only did Tia show unwavering support of Becca during the Women Tell All and After the Final Rose Ceremony specials, she also gave her the sweetest shoutout on Instagram after she was named the next Bachelorette. She wrote, "This girl right here is the real deal ... I can honestly say that Becca is one of the best people on this planet. Her heart&soul are so pure, and she truly sees the best in everyone ... [Becca] you make me want to be the best version of myself. I am rooting for you so hard, and can’t wait for America to fall in love with your beautiful self (if they haven’t already) I love you so much, and am so blessed to call you a best friend."

  • Nope, we think Tia is nothing but happy for her new BFF.

Besides, it not like we won't be seeing her in Paradise next summer, right? Maybe she'll follow in her other bestie Raven Gate's footsteps and find her own leading man in Mexico. Our fingers are crossed for her!
