Monday night gave us one heck of a Bachelor finale, and not surprisingly, Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s final rose winner isn't holding back. In a new interview with People, Becca Kufrin has revealed how shocked she was that Arie decided to end their engagement for the sake of getting back together with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham.

  • Despite the fact that their proposal was really sweet, it wasn't meant to be -- and nobody was more surprised than Becca.

As she told the magazine, she "never thought for a million years" that he was going to break up with her that weekend when they met up in LA, until he walked into the house without bringing his suitcases with him. However, he did bring the Bachelor camera crew -- a move that Becca called "embarrassing."

  • "A breakup is hard enough, and to have it all filmed and have to re-watch it and know that people all across the country are watching you get your heart broken, it is embarrassing," she said.

Um, yeah? And that's something we would have hoped Arie could have realized before their breakup. Becca called that particular move a "slap in the face," adding that it's something she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy. We're going to have to agree with her on that one -- what's worse than knowing the entire world is going to see you get dumped on TV?

  • Becca also added that she wished Arie wouldn't have proposed at all, because now that special moment has been ruined for her.

    She said:

"He did get down on one knee, he did propose to me, he did say, 'I'm committing to you, I choose you every day.' That’s something that I only wanted to happen once in my life, and it's been robbed from me, and I can never have that one-time moment again. And the second part is that he lied or hid his true feelings and emotions for weeks and weeks and weeks. The number one thing that I value in a relationship is honesty and loyalty, and I feel like I wasn't given that."

We definitely can't fault her for feeling that way. No one likes being lied to, and honestly, this whole mess could have been avoided if Arie was up-front about his true feelings from the beginning.

  • And even though Becca is bummed about the whole thing, she's not holding anything against Lauren at all.

"At the end of the day, we both just fell in love with the same guy and she can't help that," Becca said. "The only person that I can fault in this is Arie and the way he handled it."

That's a really mature way to look at it, and Becca is right. Hopefully she'll have no issue putting this behind her and moving on, because she's too amazing of a person to dwell on this awful incident. Now we just have to watch the rest unfold on After the Final Rose Tuesday night. Is anyone else nervous, or is it just us?
