12 Reasons Why I Refuse to Give 'This Is Us' Any of My Tears
These days, finding a good television show isn't that hard. In fact, there are so many, you have to really carefully choose. After all, it's an investment, of both your time and emotions -- which is why I cannot in good conscience allow myself to be exposed to This Is Us and the endless tears of sorrow that come with the beloved family drama.
Here are the 12 reasons why I absolutely refuse to watch "This Is Us" -- no matter how many people swear it's the best thing ever.

1.) I can barely watch sneak peeks without sobbing.
Two-minute clips shouldn't have that much power over anyone.
2.) If fans can't meet the cast without crying, I know I'll be a goner, too.
Yup, that's too much wizardry for me.
3.) Seeing an episode will likely require me to call out sick the next day, and I just can't take that much time off.
I'll need to be alone.
4.) Knowing Jack -- aka, the fine Milo Ventimiglia -- is already dead makes my heart break ... And no, it can't go on.
I'll never let go ...

5.) Mandy Moore already made me ugly cry in "A Walk to Remember," and she's not about to get me again.
"Like this journey never ends. Like you were sent to me because I'm sick. To help me through all this. You're my angel."
I. CANNOT!
6.) All this talk of love and forgiveness reminds me of how petty and how much of an a**hole I can be -- and I already feel bad enough.
7.) Watching Jack & Rebecca's incredible bond with their kids will be just another sad reminder that I need to step up my parenting game.

8.) Any man who can make me sweat *and* cry like my grandmother died is someone I don't need to watch on TV.
Randall Pearson is about to get me in trouble with my husband.
Just like Ben Affleck refused to wear a Yankees hat in *Gone Girl* (he's a Boston Red Sox fan), I can't disrespect my Ravens -- LOL. Ain't happening.
10.) Kate and Toby's love is up there with "The Notebook," and I'm not sure if I'm ready to dethrone Ryan and Rachel just yet.

11.) I'll likely feel the need to call my mom after every episode and tell her how much I love her. She'll love it, but I won't.
Kidding ... But really, I'm not a phone person.
12.) Seriously, I don't want people thinking I'm on that stuff because my nose is always red.
