Kailyn Lowry Shares Baby Lo's Birth Story in Graphic Detail

Kailyn Lowry Baby Lo

Kailyn Lowry may be keeping Baby Lo's name a secret (if she's even named him yet, that is), but she's basically an open book when it comes to the details of his birth. The Teen Mom 2 star recently got a bit TMI describing how her youngest son came into the world, and let's just say ... we're impressed.

Kail shared the details of Baby Lo's birth on her website, and added the warning, "I debated writing this post because there are obviously graphic details, lol but also because I don't know if I could ever convey what the night actually looked like."

She shared that she had "pretty long labors" with her older sons, Isaac, 7, and Lincoln, 3, and was expecting the same this time around. Even though a lot of doctors told her that labors tend to get shorter with each subsequent child, she was still skeptical, since she went 13 hours with Isaac, and 16 hours with Lincoln. Kail wrote that she planned to be in labor around 10 hours.

Best laid plans, you know. Before getting into the nitty gritty details of Baby Lo's arrival, Kail said, "graphic, TMI to follow." She lost her mucus plug around 1 a.m. the morning her baby was born, so she figured she had hours or days left, like she had with her older boys.

Minutes after informing baby daddy Chris Lopez of her status, her water broke. "Water starts breaking at the top of my stairs and contractions are instantly 3 mins apart... consistently," she revealed. "I get out of the shower and the rest of my water smacks on the floor. I call Chris [to] tell him my water broke and meet me at the hospital."

However, after talking to her doctor, Kail asked Chris to come pick her up instead. He got to her house and they got into the car by 2:24 a.m., and arrived at the hospital by 2:45 a.m.

"I can barely sign my name on the papers," she recalled. "they're struggling to get the IV in, I'm 6 cm ... I'm begging for pain meds but the paperwork isn't done ... minutes later the IV is in and I'm ok now can I please have pain meds. Nurse comes in to check me and I'm 8 CM but dilate 9, 10 cm AS SHE'S CHECKING ME ... Last thing I hear is 'I NEED HELP' from the nurse."

Two hours after labor began, her newest little guy entered the world at "3 a.m. on the dot," before the doctor even made it to the hospital. As for not knowing his gender until he came out, Kail said, "They put baby on my chest and ask 'do you want to know what you had?' I'm in tears, and say yes! 'IT'S A BOY!'"

Yup, it's definitely TMI, but it's childbirth! There's nothing "pretty" about it, but it is truly a magical experience. We're glad Kail had a healthy delivery, and happy that Chris got her to the hospital on time.
