Jef Holm Throws the Ultimate Insult at New 'Bachelor' Arie Luyendyk Jr.

Arie Luyendyk Jr., Jef Holm

It looks like their bromance has officially ended! Jef Holm just slammed his former BFF Arie Luyendyk Jr. on Twitter, after Arie was named as the leading man for the next season of The Bachelor. Hmmm, jealous maybe?

The pair sparked an unlikely friendship in 2012 when they became the final two in Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette. Em ended up choosing Holm, and even though they broke up several months later, it seemed like his friendship with Arie was going to last.

Alas, it looks like things went sour at some point between then and now, because there's clearly no love lost at this point. Arie was named as the newest Bachelor last week, and it took about two seconds for Jef to start bashing him on Twitter.

When show creator Mike Fleiss commented on the positive response Bachelor Nation has had to Arie's announcement, Holm dismissed it and said he'd see a "double Bachelor," and added, "Oh the stories I could tell…"

But that wasn't all ... Holm went so far as to call Arie "disgusting." Reality Steve tweeted a screenshot of a comment from his blog in which someone alleged that Arie and Jef used to hook up with random 18-year-old girls at sorority parties, and Jef shot back on Twitter: "I've actually never even been inside a sorority house. As for him...I stopped being friends with him years ago because he's disgusting."

No word on what happened to cause the pair to have a falling out, but from the sound of it, it was pretty nasty. Hopefully Jef is just lashing out about whatever it is that ended their friendship, because we can't stand to think of Arie as disgusting!

The truth rarely stays hidden, so it will be interesting to see this season what kind of skeletons are in Arie's closet.
