Say Goodbye to Your Disney Netflix Binges -- for Now

Even if you don't have kids, many of us take comfort in rewatching a Disney classic. You find yourself turning on Netflix and all of a sudden you're on your third Disney movie. Well, if you still want to be able to do that, you're going to have to purchase another streaming service pretty soon, according to The Hollywood Reporter

  • That's right, Disney is officially pulling its material from Netflix.

  • However, Disney will be creating its own streaming service in 2019.

CEO Bob Iger said if a movie is Pixar or Disney-branded, it will probably appear exclusively on the new service -- including shows and movies made specifically for the service, according to The Hollywood Reporter

  • The verdict on where Star Wars and Marvel films will be available is still up in the air.

  • Disney also owns a stake in Hulu, and due to a multiyear deal, movies like "Mulan" and "Pocahontas" will still be available through that service.

  • Additionally, Disney will also be launching an ESPN streaming service early next year.

  • They might as well just take all our money now!
