Chris Soules Has Been Placed on House Arrest After Being Released From Jail

Chris Soules Bachelor

After his arrest for fleeing the scene of a fatal accident on Monday night, Chris Soules was released from jail on a $10,000 bond, but he can't go too far. Chris is on house arrest, and it sounds like the courts are definitely keeping a close eye on him.

According to a source close to Soules, he is now wearing an ankle monitor in his Arlington, Iowa, home, and was forced to give up his passport.

The source told Us Weekly

Chris has a location monitoring device on his leg and had to surrender his passport. Chris hasn't left his house yet. His family has been by his side.

The source also said that Chris's first court date is set for May 2, which is next week, so it's possible he'll find out what the next steps are for him then.

So far, Chris has stayed quiet on Twitter and deleted his Instagram, so it seems like in the meantime, he's planning to lay low. Fortunately, he has the support of his family and the Bachelor community when he needs them most.

This is a horribly sad story, and something Chris will have to live with for the rest of his life. Hopefully as court proceedings continue, Chris and the victim's family will be able to find some kind of peace in it.
