This is not the topless selfie one might expect from a Bachelor alum. Lesley Murphy showed off her bare chest over the weekend ... and got really real about her decision to undergo a double mastectomy.

The 29-year-old -- who competed on Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor -- underwent the drastic surgery last week, after she tested positive for the BRCA2 gene, which greatly increased her risk of developing breast cancer. Her mom is a survivor of the disease, so it undoubtedly hit home for her and caused her to want to take no chances with her future health.

On Sunday, she posted this photo of her scars and gave us an update on how she's doing post-op. Lesley said that her mom has been taking care of her since her surgery, and even washed and dried her hair for her for the photo. "She's the freaking best," she added in the caption.

Lesley shared that she still has drainage tubes, which can be seen in the red apron on her lap. Her mama helps monitor those twice a day, and when they reach a certain level, she'll be able to have them removed.

She also explained that her chest is "sunken in and lumpy" due to deflated expanders that were inserted after her breast tissue was removed. They'll be expanded every few weeks until she's ready for reconstructive surgery.

"I feel lucky because my surgeons only made one vertical incision on the lower half of both breasts while saving skin & nipple," she revealed. "So while all breast tissue is (hopefully) gone, I retained some of the old me! Happy Sunday. God is good."

It's definitely a big decision, and we're glad to see Lesley recovering nicely. Hopefully she kicked breast cancer in the butt before ever even getting it.
