In news that will likely shock no one, Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi have yet to set a wedding date. The newly engaged couple has faced criticism from fans that they're an "awkward" couple, after failing to appear at ease with one another since they became official when Nick's season of The Bachelor ended a few weeks ago.

Us Weekly caught up with Nick backstage at Dancing With the Stars and asked him if they'd set a date yet. The reality TV alum said, "No, no ... Like Vanessa and I have said, it's too early for us right now. We're still just doing a lot of new things together."

In other words -- we're so not ready to make a commitment, because we're not even sure we really like each other that much yet. We're guessing.

Anyway, Nick tried to justify their lack of commitment wedding date by explaining, "We're very open about the fact that we have a long way to go, and we're excited about that journey."

At least part of that journey will include some red tape, as Vanessa reportedly applies for residency in the United States. Fans of the show know that she's Canadian, and despite her initial reluctance to leave her family and hometown, it looks like she's decided to move in with Nick in Los Angeles.

"She's living with me," Nick confirmed. "But obviously we're still working through the visa stuff so she may have to pop back to Montreal at some point. While we're in LA, we're living together."

They may not have wedding plans yet, but they are at least going to try to make a trip back to Canada soon. "Vanessa hasn't been able to do that yet," he shared. "And I haven't had a chance to go to Montreal outside of the show. So I think we're just focused on that right now."

Will these two actually make it to the altar? Only time will tell.
