Raven Gates Gets Real About Being Rejected by Nick Viall

As soon as Raven Gates got out of the limo first on the Bachelor finale Monday night, we knew she wasn't getting that proposal. But what really threw us? How Nick Viall let her get through her entire speech about her love for him before he shut her down -- and we're not the only ones who feel that way. Raven shared her thoughts on Nick's rejection, and we can't blame her for being a little upset.

During a conference call this week, Raven told press exactly what she's feeling. If we were Raven, we'd be royally pissed that Nick let us ramble on about how in love we are with him before being like, "dude, we have to break up." But since Raven is actually an angel on this earth, she took a more graceful approach.

Here's what she had to say, according to Us Weekly

I did wonder why he didn't give me courtesy. But I also understand that he knows me well enough that he knows I love to say what I'm feeling, and I love to lay it all out on the table, and so I really think he was just giving me that opportunity.

That makes sense. It's nice for her to know that she did all she could and said everything she needed to say, even though there's no way it was easy for her to be dumped on national television.

And as for Nick's end of things? He's feeling a little bad about it himself -- as he should, because he's been in her position a time or two. Come on, man!

In a separate conference call, Nick said (via Us Weekly):

I felt immense guilt -- and I felt immense sadness -- for putting Raven through that, and for that I'll always be terribly sorry. There's no great way of doing it.

The good news? Raven seems just fine, and she's getting another shot at love on Bachelor in Paradise, so maybe this is just the way things had to happen for her to find her real prince charming? Our fingers are crossed she has better luck this time!
