Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell's Wedding Is Off

Um, this isn't what we were expecting at all. Ben Higgins called off his wedding with Lauren Bushnell, and the poor no-longer-a-bride-to-be shared that she was "blindsided" by his decision.

On Tuesday's episode of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, the Bachelor alums went to group therapy with Emily and Haley Ferguson, along with fellow engaged couple Lace Morris and Grant Kemp. Higgins revealed in the session that while he does want to marry Lauren at some point in the future, he's not ready to do it as soon as they had planned.

"The wedding's off," he confessed. "I think this thing sped up real fast, and we haven't had a second to breathe." He also added that he thinks they "haven't done anything," to which Lauren was understandably incensed.

Lauren incredulously told Ben, "When you say that we just haven't done anything, it hurts because I've moved to Denver and had to switch jobs, and I left my life in LA to come and do the life with you."

Note to Ben -- that's a hell of a lot of something.

Lauren was pretty distraught by the situation, and we don't blame her a bit. She revealed to the camera, "I have no idea what just happened. I feel completely blindsided." We're not sure what happened either, because Ben pretty much has it made with this gem of a lady. We're surprised he's not banging down the door to lock that down.

The couple then met with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, who told them, "I'm sorry to hear the wedding's off, but I just want what's best for you."

After an awkward road trip to the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Lauren confessed that she felt uncomfortable lying on the red carpet about the closeness of their wedding. "I feel like Ben and I are miles apart, but we still have to pretend like we're on the same page," she shared.

We're not sure what's going on with Ben, but we're hoping he either steps it up or lets Lauren go so she can find someone worthy of her time.
