US Olympic Gymnasts Get to Meet (& Hug!) Beyonce in a Golden VMA Moment

final five beyonce VMAsBy now, we're accustomed to these ladies' stealing the show, so it's no surprise that they won our hearts once again with their appearance at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sunday. The US gymnastics team, aka the Final Five (minus teammate Gabby Douglas), looked glamorous and genuinely thrilled to attend the VMAs. As if being among all those celebs weren't exciting enough, the ladies enjoyed another amazing moment when they presented superstar Beyonce with an award and looked like fangirls themselves for a moment.

You'd think it would take a lot to render gold medalists Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison Kocian starstruck, but if anyone has the power to do it, it's Queen Bey.

Take a look at how excited they are to have the chance to present Beyonce with the trophy for Best Female Video for her work on "Hold Up."

Final Five Beyonce VMAsThey look so lovely and happy. It's great to see these awesome role models enjoy another moment in the spotlight.

When we watched the Final Five in Rio, looking so focused and determined, it was easy to forget how young they truly are, and that they have interests beyond the balance beam and uneven bars. It's fun to see the tables turned and catch them celebrating the success of another world-class performer.

For Hernandez, this is a moment she'll remember forever! She even took a sec to tweet about it.

The only disappointing part of the evening was that Douglas, who was hospitalized for a mouth infection, missed the festivities.

We wish her a quick recovery!

If you missed the Final Five at the VMAs, you'll have another chance to catch them as they plan to tour the country with Kellogg's for the 2016 Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions.

With their grace, strength, and infectious enthusiasm, we hope to see a lot more of these athletes.
