Ali Fedotowsky Gets Criticism for Sharing Her Joy as a New Mom

Ali Fedotowsky It's so unfortunate that we live in a world where people would rather see you struggle than succeed. Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky has come under fire for being positive during her first weeks of being a mom -- which is completely ridiculous!

The fact that Ali even has to address her critics, while admitting she does struggle with aspects of being a parent, is a damn shame.

And yet, here we are.

The 31-year-old new mom also wrote a blog post on AliLuvs.com as to why she chooses to focus on the beauty of motherhood.

As Ali says:

I still choose to look at the positive side of everything when it comes to my child. I've waited far too long to hold her in my arms to complain about her keeping me up at night. Will I ever have moments of weakness where I have to get some things off my chest? ABSOLUTELY! I'm actually having one right now, but I will still look for the positive every day.

Good for you!

Ali was very honest about her pregnancy journey -- including the setbacks she experienced from being on bed rest. This alone likely makes life as a new mother sweeter, which should be celebrated instead of condemned.

For some reason, people have it in their minds that new mothers have to walk around with a dark cloud over their heads in order to prove their worthiness of being a parent. If Ali, or any new mother, wants to feel pretty in clothes, talk about how awesome of a sleeper baby is, or do anything else that makes Mom happy, let her.

There's enough room for us mamas to keep it real about the struggles of getting through the day and celebrating small victories we achieve.

Plus, Ali never says she doesn't have bad days. She adds in her blog post:

I'm never suggesting that being a mom isn't hard, I just want to focus on the gift that Molly is and be thankful for her every second of every day. I'll talk about the hard parts, because they exist! But if I feel great and feel totally in control at times, I'm not going to say otherwise. I'll be honest when it's hard and honest when it's blissful.

Live and let live, people. Live and let live.
