Miranda Simms Fires Back at Leah Messer Over Claims About Not Helping Ali

Leah Messer and Miranda Simms have never had a good relationship, but we have a feeling it's more impossible than ever that they'll be friends one day. Recently, Leah called Miranda out for bad parenting, and now Miranda is responding to claims that she didn't help Ali with a heavy backpack.

Basically, this all started when Leah heard a recording of Ali talking about how Miranda refused to help her with her heavy backpack because she had to carry the baby. Leah was obviously upset about that, and with the custody battle that's going on between them, it made the situation even worse.

But now, Miranda's saying what actually happened is a little bit different, and she seems pretty upset at the way she's come across to basically everyone who watches Teen Mom 2 and now, she's clearing the air.

More From The Stir: Leah Messer Blasts Miranda Simms For Her Treatment of Her Daughter Ali

In an interview with MTV, Miranda and Corey shared their side of the story, and it sounds like the whole thing could have gotten blown out of proportion, as it sometimes does when the story is told by a toddler. She said:

I always try to carry Ali’s backpack for her. I would never try to do any harm to the children or create any kind of task that I know Ali cannot do. I’m not saying how she felt was wrong — her feelings are important. I just hope that we can move on, and I hope that the girls feel comfortable no matter where they are at one time.

Corey added:

Miranda has been around the girls since they were two years old. Miranda is aware of what Ali is capable of and what she’s not capable of doing. If Miranda would have felt that the backpack was too heavy, she would not have made her carry the backpack.

So yeah, that custody battle we talked about? We have a feeling a lot more fighting is to come after this one. Here's hoping Miranda and Corey are telling the truth. Ali's been through enough!
