Olivia Caridi Responds to the Backlash She Received on 'The Bachelor' (PHOTO)

When Olivia Caridi got eliminated on The Bachelor this week, we couldn't decide if we were bummed she was going home (and taking all that entertainment with her) or if we were happy she wouldn't end up with sweetie pie Ben Higgins. But there's no doubt that she got a lot of backlash on social media, and now that her Bachelor journey is over, Olivia has some words for her haters

This week, Olivia took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and a friend, and took the opportunity to share her feelings on the response she's received while on The Bachelor. It sounds like Olivia's been pretty bullied -- and if you tweet along with the show, this probably doesn't come as a shock to you.

She posted:

So I'd like to thank my best friend @rachelantigua for renting a kayak and picking me up on the island in the Bahamas. It was very cold out there for a while, I just made a tent with some of the rocks near the blowhole and slept near some sea crabs and turtles for comfort and friendship. I caught fish with my hands for meals. It was very difficult. But my friend just anchored near the shore days later and we floated back to the mainland during sunset. It was idyllic. But for real -- thank you to the lovers and supporters, both friends and strangers, who have reached out. I am eternally grateful. For the haters, you've made me stronger than ever before. The girls on this show see your comments and they have feelings. Think twice before sending an insensitive message. Words hurt, and they kill, too. Don't be mean behind the screen. #AntiBullyingMonth This has been one of the most interesting experiences of my life. I've learned a lot about myself. Good things and tough lessons. We're all human. We make mistakes. Learn from them. Let them make you wiser. Be imperfect, flawed, and quirky. And own it. Never trade your authenticity for approval. Don't be afraid to stand alone. Anyway, rant over. Can't wait for adventures ahead!

She makes a good point -- the women on The Bachelor do read what people say about them, and we're sure they've all received more than their fair share of hate, even if it was undeserved. It's not cool to be mean to people on the Internet, even if they are lucky enough to date Ben!

It's good to see that Olivia's doing well after The Bachelor, though. Hopefully her Prince Charming is out there, even if he wasn't Ben.

We'll miss you, Olivia!
