Maci Bookout's Boyfriend Gives Us More Reason to Believe 'Teen Mom' Is Fake

Teen Mom OG has been back for two weeks, but it's already evident that a lot of this season's story lines will revolve around the fact that Taylor McKinney and Maci Bookout still aren't engaged -- and Maci desperately wants to be Taylor's wife. But now, Taylor's accusing MTV of bad editing on a fight they had about their lack of engagement, so maybe things between them aren't as bad as it seems.

If you caught the episode, you probably saw the scene where Maci, Taylor, and their friends were in Las Vegas for a music festival -- and how Maci's conversation about wanting an engagement ring seemed heated. In real life, it totally wasn't that way, and Taylor turned to Twitter to clear everything up.

Of course, this doesn't come as a shock exactly -- MTV obviously tinkers with things for ratings and to keep the show interesting. This isn't news!

Besides, we think it's pretty admirable that Taylor defended Maci like that. Chances are certain viewers would have called her out for pressuring Taylor in the way MTV showed, so this way, he can cut off anyone who would have criticized her at the source.

The decision to get engaged is a huge one, and it's obvious that these two aren't taking it lightly. Taylor should have the choice to propose when and how he decides to, without any extra pressure from outside sources ... even though, in their situation, that's pretty unlikely to happen.

Either way, we're proud of Taylor for standing up for Maci. Are these two adorable or what?
