Catelynn Lowell Still Struggling With 'Mind-Crippling' Depression

Poor girl! Catelynn Lowell recently revealed that she's still struggling with some pretty bad postpartum depression, more than a year after giving birth to sweet little Novalee.

Tyler Baltierra's wife revealed last fall that she suffered from PPD, and had gone undiagnosed for close to nine months after having her second child. She and Tyler placed their first biological daughter Carly for adoption after getting pregnant at 16.

The Teen Mom OG star described her "mind-crippling" symptoms to Life & Style, saying, "I didn't really know and I still don't know what’s going on with my postpartum ... For a while I felt fine, but I've always suffered from depression, anxiety, and panic attacks."

Cate confided that she's taking antidepressants and seeing a doctor, but it's still difficult at times. Thank goodness she has Ty! "Tyler is my backbone and helps me a lot," she said. "He pushes me and will make me do things like go for a walk so [the depression] goes away."

It's not hard to understand why she's having a rough time. In addition to chemical and hormonal imbalances, she's probably dealing with a lot of emotions about placing Carly for adoption now that she has Nova to raise. She totally made the right decision for herself and Tyler, but it's still bound to bring up some feelings of loss.

I hope that Catelynn keeps getting the help she needs so she can kick the PPD entirely!
