Ben Higgins Fill Us in on How He Really Feels About Lace Morris

Since The Bachelor night one, Lace Morris has proven she's going to be a bit of a handful. Who questions getting a rose after a rose ceremony?! If you're like us, you might be wondering why Lace survived yet another week. Fortunately, Ben explained why he didn't send Lace home in his latest People blog.

Lace wasn't exactly on her best behavior on that first night, but things only got worse during the second episode. She complained about not getting enough time with Ben, pulled him aside for a seriously awkward conversation about her childhood, and then disappeared in tears. But she made it through to the next ceremony. Why?!

From how Ben explains it, the Lace we see isn't the Lace he saw, which is a "sincere and sweet woman." That's what got her past night one, and then after night two? That required a different explanation from Ben, and even though we're questioning his choices, it only makes us love him more.

Ben wrote in his blog:

I didn't know that she was upsetting the other women as much as she was, and I get people criticizing her for being overly aggressive. I mean, she is a bit aggressive. But I think what a lot of people don't think about is that, from my perspective (and remember, I am not seeing her interactions with the other women until I am watching it on TV, just like you), she is also showing me that she really cares – that she is not just here for a good time or a party, but that she is seriously interested in me and wants to make progressing our relationship a priority. I have a really hard time getting upset about that.

He's not wrong -- Lace is seriously interested in him. So now it makes total sense that he kept her around, even though we wonder if that would have been the case had he seen how she was interacting with other women.

How much longer will that hold up, though? We'll have to wait and find out. And to be honest, we kinda want her to stick around for a while. You can't deny she's entertaining!
