TLC Is 'Still Considering' Keeping Jill & Jessa Duggar On the Air

Ever since TLC aired a three-part special featuring Jill and Jessa Duggar last month, we've been wondering if the network has been considering bringing the former 19 Kids and Counting stars back into the fold.

Apparently we're not the only ones, either. TLC general manager Nancy Daniels was promoting a new dating show called Single Dad Seeking at the Television Critics Association tour, when she was peppered with questions not about the new series, but about a potential Duggar spin-off.

19 Kids and Counting was canceled after it was revealed last spring that Josh Duggar had molested five underage girls as a young teen -- including four of his own sisters.

Of course the situation was made a thousand times worse in August, when Josh was exposed in the Ashley Madison hack. The married father of four confessed to being unfaithful to his wife, Anna, and checked himself into a long-term rehab facility.

After all of that happened, TLC decided to feature Jill and Jessa in a three-part special, Jill and Jessa: Counting On. And that's what the audience at the TCA wanted to know about -- not the single-dad dating show. Come on, TLC ... what did you think was going to happen?

When asked how TLC decided on its casting, Daniels responded, "Over the years, our screening process has evolved in many ways." Let's hope, after not only the Duggar fiasco, but also Honey Boo Boo. That show was canceled after it was revealed that Mama June was palling around with a convicted child molester.

Anyway, the final question was about Jill and Jessa, and the future of the Duggar family on TV. Daniels frustratingly answered, "We just aired the three specials during the holidays. They did very well ... The audience clearly cares about these girls."

But will there be more shows? Daniels managed to respond, "We're still talking and considering it, but we have not made a decision yet."

Personally, I'd love to see more of Jill and Jessa as they begin to raise their little families. They both married in 2014, and welcomed sons in 2015. And hey, it's not their fault their brother is a jerk.
