Jessa Duggar Goes Into Labor, Anna Keeps on Going on 'Jill & Jessa: Counting On'

Tonight was the last episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, and man, it did not disappoint. We saw Jill and Derick Dillard settling down in Central America, and Jessa finally went into a dramatic labor -- but we still couldn't take our eyes off of Anna Duggar and her struggle with her estranged husband Josh.

The episode was centered around Jessa and Ben Seewald's new little one and his climatic arrival, as her family gathered around her and helped her prepare for the birth. She ended up with a 48-hour labor that eventually resulted in a hospitalization, but let's talk about Anna first.

Ben and Jessa having been living in the "starter house" that Anna and Josh lived in for five years before moving to DC, yet this awesome girl still went over to help her sister-in-law prepare for the birth of her first child.

Did I mention that Anna actually gave birth in this house twice? She is so freaking selfless it blows my mind. The only thing she had to say about the whole thing was, "It was a lot fun and refreshing." She continued that it was a "tender spot to go back and be in what was our starter home," and that many sweet memories had been made there.

"It was good to be back, I guess," she said, "And have some time to look back."

Break our hearts, why don't you, Anna! And even through Jessa's traumatic birth experience, Anna found strength to deal with her own crisis. She said, "I think, for everyone, it's been hard. It's been a good opportunity to draw close to God and trusting God for his wisdom to take the next step ... At one point I was talking I was like, 'I feel like I've been in labor for like, days.' Because when you're in labor you just make it through the next contraction and go on. I think there's been a lot of that lately of just taking the next step and going on."

I wish I could give Anna a hug and tell her that the end of a marriage isn't at all like the birth of a child. Nothing new and wonderful and spectacular greets you at the end of a marriage like it does in childbirth.

Speaking of children being born ... Anna's newest nephew finally arrived to parents Jessa and Ben. The cameras were on Jessa during her labor and delivery, and I was reminded why I chose to have an epidural both times I gave birth.

But Anna was a trooper, even as she had to be taken away by an ambulance for loss of blood. Thankfully, she got fixed up just fine, and within hours was visiting and laughing with her family and new son.

I just hope that Anna knows she can have a fresh start too.
