Since leaving the show after Season 5, Lauren Conrad has gone from being a MTV reality star to a best-selling novelist and fashion designer, who made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2015. She also added the title of "wife" to her busy life, marrying former guitarist William Tell in 2014, after two years of dating.

  • Audrina Patridge - Then

As one of Lauren Conrad's BFFs, Audrina Patridge was a staple throughout all six seasons of The Hills. Who can forget her on-off romance with bad boy Justin Bobby?

After the show ended, Audrina tried her hand at starring in her own reality show (which was canceled after one season), acting in bit parts in movies, and joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars. Currently, she's hosting a late-night travel show and recently announced that she and her professional motorcyclist fiancé, Corey Bohan, are expecting their first child.

  • Heidi Montag - Then

If there's one person who had a dramatic transformation throughout the run of the series, it was definitely Heidi Montag. She started out as Lauren's average-looking roommate in season one and after one boob job, one rhinoplasty, and several rumors, she ended up as Lauren's nemesis, along with boyfriend Spencer Pratt.

These days, Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, are no longer the A-list tabloid celebrities they once were, but they will continue to do anything for attention and frequently pose for campy photo shoots for the paparazzi, like this Star Wars-themed one. Heidi's foray into plastic surgery also became an addiction following the end of The Hills. She famously underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in 2010, a decision she now regrets

  • Whitney Port - Then

As a fellow fashionista and California native, Whitney Port served as Lauren's work friend and sounding board at Teen Vogue, where the two young women interned during the first three seasons of The Hills. They later both left to work for the PR firm People's Revolution.

After the conclusion of The Hills, Whitney Port moved to NYC to work for fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, and MTV subsequently gave her a spin-off series entitled The City. The show, which recounted her New York adventures and the launch of her own fashion line, Whitney Eve (which is still sold online at whitneyeve.com), was canceled after two seasons. However, it was because of The City that Whitney met her now-husband Tim Rosenman, who worked as an associate producer on the show. The two wed in 2015.

  • Spencer Pratt - Then

As the villian of The Hills, Spencer Pratt now admits that he's the one who started the rumor about Lauren's sex tape, which led to the eventual dissolution of her friendship with Heidi and caused Lauren to scream at Heidi in season three, "You know what you did!"

Post-Hills, Spencer Pratt has tried to hold on to the fleeting fame the show granted him. He and wife Heidi Montag have appeared on reality shows like I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and continue to pump out cheesey posed photos, like this Thanksgiving one.

  • Brody Jenner - Then

    Image via MTV

Playing the role of the handsome love interest, Brody Jenner's relationship with Lauren was the central focus of season two of The Hills, (although he now claims that it was a faux-mance, and he and Lauren were just good friends.) After Lauren left the show and was replaced by Kristin Cavallari during the last season, Brody stepped back in and rekindled his feelings for Kristin, whom he first dated in 2005.

While Brody Jenner remains on TV as the host of his own call-in show, Sex With Brody, he's no longer the most famous member of his family, having been far overshadowed by dad Caitlyn Jenner and step-sister Kim Kardashian

  • Lo Bosworth - Then

After appearing alongside Lauren on Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, Lo Bosworth made the leap to The Hills during the show's second season to lend support to her friend from the OC.

Since the show ended, Lo Bosworth has kept a low profile (pun intended,) publishing a book called The Lo Down in 2011, but, otherwise, staying out of the spotlight. She reportedly moved to New York in 2013 to attend culinary school and is now a food and lifestyle blogger

  • Stephanie Pratt - Then

    Image via MTV

As Spencer's sister and Lauren's college classmate-turned-friend, Stephanie Pratt's role on The Hills seemed to be keeping the drama brewing between the main characters.

After The Hills ended, Stephanie Pratt moved to London for appearances on British TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother and Made in Chelsea, which has been described by some as the UK version of The Hills. She surprisingly still gets snapped by the paparazzi, resulting in random photo-ops like this image of her working out.

  • Kristin Cavallari - Then

    Image via MTV

As Lauren's former high school classmate and fellow Laguna Beach alum, Kristin Cavallari must have seemed like the natural choice to be the The Hills' star replacement, after Lauren decided to leave the show after season five.

  • Kristin Cavallari - Now

Now a wife to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and a mom of two, Kristin Cavallari continues to remain in the public eye as a celebrity mom and fashion designer with her own shoe and jewelry collection. She also has written a book, Balancing in Heels, which will be released in 2016. She made headlines again towards the end of 2015 when her brother, Michael, dissapeared and later was found dead in Utah.
