daryl dixonWith 2016 fast approaching, it's time to look back at what pop culture phenomenons consumed us this year -- like which TV shows had us binge-watching our lives away! According to Facebook's just-released "2015 Year in Review," the most talked about shows of the past 12 months most likely include some of your favorites (but there are a few surprises on the list, too!).

  • Game of Thrones

There was plenty to talk about in Game of Thrones season 5 (will Arya kill everyone on her list? Where did Hodor go? Are those dragons gonna eat everybody??), but the central issue preoccupying fans is that of Jon Snow; namely: Is he dead?! (The season 6 preview clip would seem to indicate the answer is "no.")

  • The Walking Dead

As with Game of Thrones, season 6 (part 1) of The Walking Dead gave us plenty to obsess over: Why is Rick wearing so many Band-Aids on his face all the time? Did we really need an entire episode devoted to Morgan? Why are there entire episodes with NO DARYL? But the big cliffhanger had to do with Glenn: Did he really get devoured by a swarm of dumpster-diving zombies? (Spoiler alert: Nope!)

  • The Daily Show

Always a conversation starter, The Daily Show generated more buzz than ever in 2015, as beloved host of over 15 years Jon Stewart at last stepped down, with South African comedian Trevor Noah taking his place. To say we were sad is an understatement, but Noah is winning us over!

As it's now in its 41st season, it seems we'll never stop talking about SNL -- and if we ever did, it wouldn't be this year, which included a hosting gig by Donald Trump, a cameo from Hillary Clinton, the triumphant return of Tracy Morgan, and political satire aplenty.

  • WWE Raw

Even non-wrestling fans found reason to pay attention to WWE Raw this summer when Jon Stewart went head-to-head with Jon Cena. (More devoted followers, meanwhile, went crazy over Hulk Hogan's return.)

  • The Simpsons

Why was The Simpsons one of the most talked about shows this year? Perhaps simply because it's been on the air for a whopping 27 seasons!

They say no press is bad press, but all the controversy surrounding Josh Duggar's sexual molestation and infidelity scandals ended up being pretty bad for 19 Kids and Counting -- TLC canceled the show.

  • Grey's Anatomy

We wouldn't blame you if you were still reeling from the tragic death of Patrick Dempsey's Derek Shepherd: McDreamy shot!!! Of COURSE everybody was talking about that one!

  • Last Week Tonight With John Oliver

As host of arguably the smartest, funniest show on late-night TV at the moment, John Oliver can be counted on by viewers to make hilarious sense out of everything from the uselessness of pennies to the corruption of FIFA.

What's not to talk about?? The end of OITNB, season 3, left us with so many questions: Is Nicky really gone? What's gonna happen with Piper and Alex? How did Pennsatucky suddenly become so eloquent? Why is season 4 taking so long??
