After the Teen Mom star fought to get equal custody of her daughters, people still seem to be stuck in the past when it comes to how capable she is of being a mother. The mom of three had her first twin daughters, Aleeah and Aliannah, in 2009. At the time, she was engaged to Corey Simms, their father, but things soon fell apart between the couple.
After Leah had a run-in with a prescription pill addiction, she lost equal custody of her daughters in favor of Simms. Although Leah's been clean and responsible for a while now, it doesn't stop people from criticizing everything she does.
Leah's daughter Aleeah is a fun-loving cheerleader -- just like her mom was! But there was quite a bit of commotion around the amount of makeup she wears when she goes to cheer. There was also that time Leah took a picture of her daughter at the dentist, and was accused of giving her daughter a poor diet. Simple, everyday things that parents do with their children are put under a microscope for Leah and her family -- and it's really unfair.
It's enough that the young mother had to go through discovering Aliannah's muscular dystrophy -- and this year, she had to see about getting Aleeah tested for it, too. That's a lot on a mother's plate! She's been giving her kids the best possible lives -- and we see that, too.
