Farrah Abraham Is Planning on Expanding Her Family

Well, we didn't see this coming. Apparently, a certain Teen Mom OG star is looking to expand her family ... and she didn't make her plans public 'til now. This week, Farrah Abraham announced she plans to adopt a child in the future. Confused? Us too.

In honor of World Adoption Day on Tuesday, Farrah took to Instagram to express her passion for adoption, and her plans to help give a child a home someday soon. And from the way she's talking about it, it doesn't sound like this is a recent development in her life.

#worldadoptionday Let's embrace the power and beauty that family brings with adoption. There are over 145 million orphans in the world. I grew up with all my neighbors being adopted and in foster care and I've seen it mean the world to them to have loving and caring homes " a family". I hope soon Sophia and I can make a world of difference by bringing home a baby brother or sister for Sophia. I always have been passionate about adoption as it means so much to me, my family, my community, my church and my heart thank you to all the parents who have adopted and to all the amazing children with their loving families. Is it just us, or did this totally come out of left field? Farrah's heart is definitely in the right place, but we're not sure she'd make an ideal adoptive mother right now.

Okay, so we can only judge Farrah's parenting skills based on what we see on Teen Mom and social media, but that gives us a feeling she's not in the right place to welcome another child into her family, especially one who's already had a rough start to life. She's so absorbed in her career and her personal life.

Besides, this is the woman who said she was taking a break from her daughter Sophia once because "[Sophia] has her own life and is doing her own thing." We have a feeling things like that are going to come up in the adoption process.

Farrah, maybe give it a few years. A little maturing could make a big difference!
