Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Haven't Spent More Than 4 Hours Apart -- That's Just Weird

When you first fall in love, it's natural to want to spend every waking hour together. But you don't actually do it, because, you know, you have a life, a job, family, and friends. Not the case for Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, who have reportedly spent no more than four hours apart from each other since the Bachelorette finale.

Shawn recently spoke out about his relationship with fiancée Kaitlyn, whom he has been seriously dating for five months. The two lived together for a while in her hometown of Vancouver before relocating to Nashville, where they currently live when they aren't traveling all over the place and getting to know each other better. The 28-year-old personal trainer scored points for admitting they're taking it slowly when it comes to wedding planning, but then he said something to People magazine that sounds a little bonkers.

Since receiving the final rose on the season 11 finale, Shawn revealed he and Kaitlyn haven't spent more than four hours apart. "We try to take advantage of every single second," he said. But that's a lot of seconds to spend in one person's company. Apparently, whatever they're doing is working for them because Shawn also said: "We've been getting along great living together. We're just having a blast right now." More power to them. I guess?

But is anyone else wondering whether spending so much time together is the healthiest thing for a couple?

Considering all the rumors that surrounded this couple when they first started dating, mostly concerning Shawn's jealousy over Kaitlyn's past -- and especially her relationship with Nick Viall -- I hope they don't feel compelled to stay attached to each other out of fear or envy. Couples need to continue to work on themselves and their own personal goals, which will only strengthen their personal relationships. How is it even possible to spend this much time together and continue to have a life apart from each other?

Of course, Shawn may have been exaggerating (though their continuous stream of Instagram photos suggest he's just telling it like it is). If this type of relationship works for them, it isn't my place to judge them. But I'm suffocating just thinking about it.
