Leah Messer May Have Just Lost Custody of Her Twins

OMG! We are definitely feeling for Leah Messer right now. The Teen Mom 2 star has had one hell of a year, and now it looks like it's being capped off by losing custody of twins Ali and Aleeah Grace to her ex-husband Corey Simms.

A source has revealed to In Touch magazine that Leah Messer finally lost custody of her older girls to Corey Simms, after a drawn-out court battle that's been going on for what seems like years and years. The insider revealed, "Corey was awarded primary custody, effective immediately."

We don't have confirmation from any of the MTV stars or their reps, but this would be such a major blow to Leah after all she's struggled with in the past several months. She even spent a month in a treatment facility late last spring to overcome her anxiety and depression, and as we saw on the Teen Mom 2 reunion special with Dr. Drew, she seemed to be doing a lot better.

Corey and his pregnant wife Miranda Simms have been open on camera about their concerns with Leah's parenting, including the girls' making their own toast, because apparently teaching 5-year-olds to make toast is a terrible thing. They've also accused her of abusing prescription drugs, and even made her take a drug test (which she passed, by the way).

There was also an issue with Leah's taking the girls to school late, and even missing some of Ali's therapy appointments for her muscular dystrophy. But that was all before Leah got help, and as of when the Dr. Drew special was filmed last July, she said there had been no change in the custody situation.

And just because we're not heartbroken enough for Leah, there's also a rumor floating around that her second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, is planning to file for full custody of their 2-year-old, Addie, allegedly because she wandered out of the house and was found by the cops while Leah was distracted.

Of course we want what's best for the girls, but Leah seems to have been trying so hard to take care of herself and her little family. It's hard to believe that she would lose custody just as she was turning a new leaf.
