'RHOOC' Star Brooke Ayers Is Giving His Side of the Story & We're Not Buying It

Some people just don't know how to get out of their own way. With the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion airing Monday night, Brooks Ayers is trying to defend his character.

It's not working.

Virtually every season since he started dating Vicki Gunvalson, Brooks has been at the center of a lot of drama, with both her daughter Briana and her costars doubting pretty much everything that comes out of his mouth.

This season, of course, the legitimacy of his cancer claims has been called into question, with the women (and Briana) making a strong case that he could, in fact, be lying about his diagnosis. The reunion shows, which begin airing tonight, look as though they'll be pretty revealing in terms of what Vicki did or did not know about Brooks's health, so he's trying to get out in front of it to tell his own story.

More from The Stir: Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers's Medical Documents Are Seriously Suspect

Brooks maintains that Briana's problem is she has "daddy issues," which seems odd because she at least appeared to have a good relationship with her stepdad Donn Gunvalson. Brooks also revealed to E! News that he and Vicki went to couple's counseling but agreed to part ways because their relationship just couldn't last for the long haul.

It's really hard to trust anything Brooks says given that he and Vicki have sort of alienated every person on RHOOC who tried to lend them their support at some point. Even Tamra Judge tried to come around, and she wasn't a fan from the start.

Someone put the timer on Brooks's 15 minutes of fame; it's time for Vicki to have a fully fresh start in the OC.
