Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth Give An Update on Their Marriage Plans

They may prove to be the greatest love success story in Bachelor/Bachelorette history (second to Trista and Ryan Sutter, obviously) because they're taking things slowly. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth revealed their marriage plans in an interview with SHOEme, and I'm happy to report: Their realistic attitude and relaxed approach to their relationship gives me hope for their future.

The good news is that Kaitlyn and Shawn are as insanely in love as their many photos on social media would indicate. They even admitted that they use Instagram and Twitter to show everyone that they are the real deal — which would explain all the photos. Since their time on The Bachelorette, they say their relationship has only gotten "much better" and that they are having an amazing time living together in Nashville after spending some time in Kaitlyn's hometown of Vancouver.

But the reality TV stars aren't rushing down the aisle anytime soon. They say they haven't made wedding plans yet, even though they eventually want to become husband and wife, because they believe it's too early. I wholeheartedly agree with them and am happy to hear they are doing things at their pace and not getting married because it's what fans expect of them.

Kaitlyn and Shawn aren't even sure yet where they want to live, and the way they tell it, they may start off their days with "aggressive cuddling and toast" -- but have hectic schedules and busy careers to think about right now.

More from The Stir: Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth Couldn't Be More in Love at NYFW (PHOTO)

I admit: I doubted their love early on, mostly because of all of the rumors about Shawn's being unable to handle the thought of his new girlfriend having slept with Nick Viall. I thought for sure these two wouldn't make it past a few months because of Shawn's jealousy. Then I wondered how they would get past the fact that they hail from very different places — reality TV show long-distance relationships tend to fall apart, don't they?

But Kaitlyn and Shawn are proving that where there's a will, there's a way. They're making it work and doing it on their terms. When they are ready to settle down, they'll hopefully have years of shared experiences and difficulties they've ironed out, which will only make them a stronger married couple. It sounds like they just might have what it takes!
