Teresa Giudice Talks to Daughter Gia in Heartbreaking Phone Call From Prison (VIDEO)

She may have "gone away," but Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice's parenting skills from prison are still on point. If it was anyone else it might be hard to believe, but apparently Teresa actually helped plan oldest daughter Gia's eighth-grade formal from behind bars!

In the first of the three-part special Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In, her cousin (also named Teresa) fills viewers in on how the mother of four sent her multiple emails with directives on how the soiree should go down, including the most minute details about table cloths.

Gia gets super emotional when her mom calls on the day of the dance and makes sure she has a gorgeous heart-shaped necklace to wear on the special day.

Say what you will about Teresa and her husband Joe, and the actions they were found guilty of that landed them both prison sentences (Joe's starts in February), but the woman truly seems to be holding her head up high. Particularly for the sake of her daughters, it at least doesn't appear as though the reality star is missing a beat in terms of doing as much as she can while she's behind bars.

We're really curious to see how Teresa has changed (if at all) once she is released from prison in December, just days before Christmas, and how the family fares once Joe begins his sentence.
