Is the Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers Fiasco the Most Confusing Plot in 'Housewives' History?

This season of Real Housewives of Orange County has been muddled with twisted stories from Vicki Gunvalson and now ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers. As the episodes progress, the story line just keeps getting more convoluted.

Just when it felt like all of the women were finally on board with Brooks, skepticism over whether or not he actually has cancer overwhelmed the entire cast, and it's not like the behavior displayed by him or Vicki has been helping the matter.

After the tornado of conversations that occurred at Shannon Beador's Aries party, I'm not entirely sure how anyone can believe those two. Vicki will throw out any barb she can muster to make everyone else look crazy for doubting Brooks, and, for his part, Brooks just puts on a bewildered face and denies, denies, denies.

So what gives?

At this point, if Shannon, who seems to have the most level head of the group aside from maybe Heather Dubrow, is questioning the holes in Brooks's story, I think that puts the final nail in the coffin that is the whole absurd story. Vicki looks like she's about to lose her mind and Brooks looks guilty. Meanwhile, if Meghan King Edmonds has to research one more thing to seek the truth Google might actually implode. Seriously, her computer must be burning up from all of the research she's been doing.

More from The Stir: Shannon Beador's Real Housewives of Orange County Birthday Confession is Heartbreaking

I'm not sure I can remember a more tangled web of a plotline in Real Housewives history. I kind of just want to fast forward to the reunion show and find out if anything is actually revealed, or if Vicki will just continue to cover for Brooks despite the fact that they have broken up. I need answers ... and so far it doesn't look like any are coming our way.
